it's the new seal, and i don't like it like the light and life one, but it will do.
well i had my very first interview today. needless to say, i was a nervous wreck. i slept surprisingly well last night, but i woke up and i swear i thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest, just like the cliche. the interview was at ten, so from 6:00 when i woke up, til 9:58 when I went in, i thought i would die. i sat at my desk waiting. and waiting. and pacing. and asking for prayers. and waiting. and trying to calm down. etc. i finally went over and walked in, and albert was standing outside the office. jo came out and got us, we went in, we sat down, and i began fidgeting. suddenly my hands seemed to like each other more than they ever have. i couldn't stop fidgeting. after two questions, jo felt it necessary to ask me if i was nervous. YES! i said, i'm extremely nervous! she and albert both laughed, and told me there was nothing to be nervous about...easy for them to say...they already work here. they're the ones bulleting me with questions. i survived. we laughed, i wanted to cry but didn't, and i felt like i answered the questions ok. i'm sure i could have done better, but i'm satisfied. i felt that it was a good thing that i am the first one they have interviewed, and i asked about the process...how long will it take, what's the next step? they told me that it's only the first round of interviews. if they find a couple of people that they really like in this first group, it could be over quickly. the last step is to talk with the head of school. yay. more to worry about. but for now, i am alive, i survived, and i think it went well. I'M GLAD IT'S OVER!
