i ended up eating alone because our air conditioner was being fixed, and trust me, i would rather eat alone every night than go without heat at this time in memphis. so i ate alone, and drank my beer alone, while the husband vigilantly watched the sketchballs who were sent to fix our AC. i suppose i shouldn't say he vigilantly watched, since he was working in the garage for the most part. this is what my garage looks like most afternoons...
now he is a wonderful husband, so he moves both cars out, works, then moves them back in. but still. this is my life.
and these two pictures show the sides. they're like this all the time. we just got a lot of this wood the other day though, and john's going to build us something glorious from it.
beautiful tongue and groove boards for a new kitchen table.
isn't that so pretty!?
see the tongue and groove?
both ends have tongues. perfect for teaching children not to stick their own tongues out. good thing we don't have to worry about that yet.
